Ella Carroll - 2024-present

I became a member of Unstoppable Kindness three years ago. Initially, I had vague idea of the organizations goals but didn’t anticipate the valuable lessons it would teach me. In 2023, I stepped into a larger role within the program, and I suggested to our leader at the time, Sam, that we do a research project to educate ourselves on the people we were serving. We got all our members involved and began constructing a power point on various topics relating to homelessness. At the time it seemed like an insignificant thing, but through those projects, I learned about the harsh stereotypes and nasty rumors that seem to surround those experiencing homelessness. This shifted my perspective and showed me the true value of what we are doing. I began to find passion and joy in all our project’s, whether it was drawing on brown paper lunch bags or handing someone a hot meal face to face. I began to see the impact a little compassion and empathy could have.

Looking back at all that the past leaders have done, I’m excited to continue the legacy of Unstoppable Kindness. As I step up into the role of President, I feel energized and am open to all learning experiences that will come my way.
